City park in Nanchang

One of the highlights of our trip was the city park in Nanchang. David and I absolutely loved it. After some of this video you might get a glimpse why.

In this video you will see our guide Si Si. She was our life-line in Nanchang. She took us to spectacular resturants and as many sight seeing locations as our schedule would allow with two little ones. When David and I think of China we always say, "I miss Si Si."

Gotcha' Day

Even now I look at this video and it is very difficult for me. I look at my facial expressions and all I see is stress. China was very, very difficult, especially after we received Jonathan. He took to David right away, but would have nothing to do with me. To say I was heartbroken doesn't even come close to describing my emotions. I look at this video and my heart bleeds for that woman on camera. I want to go on the other side, give her a hug and tell her, "I get how you are feeling and it will be OK."

Dancing Puppets

After the Night Market David looked across the street to see these dancing puppets. When we watch our China video this is a little part that the kids always want to see. They say, "Mom, show us the dancing puppets!"

The Great Wall of China

The Bird's Nest

Notice what our guide says about taxes. She says that the Chinese people were very excited that all of the construction for the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube was paid for by contributions from individuals. The people were worried that their taxes would go up to pay for it.

Our Summer (Part 1)

I was just about to get off the computer. Working on that whole procrastination thing. When I got on our blog and thought I would post some new pictures. It has been forever since my last post and I wanted to share an update about the Lotspeich tribe.

First of all Joshua has learned to ride his bike. David took him to a parking lot last Saturday morning to practice and he took off like he had been ridding for a month. Not only that, but he also learned that same day how to start himself. (Pix of Josh on his bike will be coming soon.)

Also, on July 8th Joshua asked Jesus into his heart. He and Daddy had some one on one time in the garage, aka the man cave, working on something "manly" like the car or the mower. Joshua had been asking some deep questions lately about salvation and July 8th was the day for answers.

On that same day David was offered first shift 7:00a to 3:00p. For six and a half years he has worked second, which is 3:00p to 11:00p. Now he will be able to come home, take a shower and go pick up his babes from school everyday. David and I are a little nervous about the transition, but none the less excited.

Without further adieu' here are some pix.

Working on the car. Just like Daddy.

Sunflower planting time!

At Santa Fe park in Oakland.

Joshua's first tee-ball game.
We only went to a few games this year. He didn't like tee-ball very well.
By the way that he took off on his bike, maybe BMX is right up his alley.

Jonathan's first time at the St. Mary's pool.
